I'm looking for examples of flyers or pamphlets to hand out

Does anyone have an example of printed material that can be given to non-R/C people who are interested in what we do?

I get asked about my rig(s) almost every time I'm out crawling. I enjoy answering questions and see this as an opportunity to grow the R/C community. Unless there is a tangible takeaway from that initial contact, few people will know how to proceed unless they happen to visit a LHS. I'd like to create a flyer that can be given to people who are curious and might be interested in getting into R/C crawling. Some basic information I think would be useful includes:

• types of crawlers (classes)
• brands and vendors
• general tech (how they work)
• entry-level cost
• contact information

If anyone has further suggestions, comments or talking points I'd love to hear them.

Used to run a guide service and ran into people all the time asking about fly fishing.

Based on my experience don't bother with pamphlets, books, ect. Print out some business cards that have a series of links on them, or pictures with the scan codes. Worked out good for me.

I just carry some business cards from my LHS and hand those out to anyone that seems to be interested.

Thanks for the tips guys. I realized I could just create a card with basic contact info and a QR code linked to a info page. I could even put the QR code on my rigs!

Now to create the info page. Does anyone want to collaborate? I'll probably make another Google Doc that people can edit if they like.

Start a free blog. Find good information already done through out the internet. Ask the owner of it, offer a link back and repost the text/article ect.

If you use a blog owned by google you automatically gain access to everything posted on youtube, google+ and other.

You can link to them directly through the blog. For example if I host a video on google on how to fix a widget, you can then embed that video on your page and provide it to the public.

All you end up doing is organizing information and provide some content.

I put together a document with the very basics of R/C crawling. It's a Google Doc open to comments (for now) if there are any. I left it very generic so it could be used anywhere, feel free to do so but keep in mind that it will change over time.

I plan to put this QR code on a business card with my contact information and also on my rigs

I made up stickers with QR codes to my website for my rigs before.
