Default Axial yeti at crawling

Hey guys, I was looking to get a yeti but I was wondering how well it could crawl with the right parts and tuning.

YouTube some video's the Yeti is a fun rig for all around fun... but I wouldn't consider it a good crawler.... it will do fine with the front diff locked (using silly putty). It will do fine for trailing, mild crawling, bashing, and u4rc racing...

Ok, cool. That is what I am kind of looking for. Something that is an all around kind of truck.

I will concur with MILD crawling, locker up front, gear down on pinion, under drive rear axle adjust ground clearance , now speed running is poor, I put the 2 speed in . Running a sensored 3000kv tekin, it's OK, But I have gobs of fun as it is a torque monster.

HANG UP AND DRIVE !

i have 2 speed also. gives the yeti the opportunity to mild crawl / trail in first gear (Mr. Hide ) and 2nd gear for speed (Dr. Jekyll ).
If the Yeti couldn't do it with skill he will do it with power . I use Mamba Monster X with CC 3800kv. For me it's pure fun running this little monster
But i don't comp just freestyle.

I bought the kit yeti added a few upgrades. For power plant, stock trans (IMO 2 speed is a waste of money) with a Holmes Hobbies 540xl motor and a castle creation mamba max pro esc will give all the speed you'll need and allowes the rig to crawl slooow.... running on 3s lipo.. many combinations of motor and esc's but I'm happy with above set-up.

2-speed transmission, new tires, putty in the front diff, and my own custom sway bars.
