Default Getting bck in after a while. ??'s axial/Rc4wd tuber build.

Hey guys. Been a while but I'm starting a new build. Could you guys identify these axles for me so I know what drive shafts to get. Obviously they're axial but ax10, scx10? Wraith? Or are those all the same?

Here's where I'm starting, all suggestions in direction for a fun capable crawler are appreciated.

Rc4wd rock rider chassis.
Axial axles
Rc4wd wheels
Rc4wd single speed tranny

Thanks guys

AX10 and SCX10 are the same. That's what they are.

Awesome. Thanks man. Will the driveshafts mate up to the Rc4wd tranny if I get some for those axles?

You've got a bit of catching up to do.

Oh I know this stuff is way out of date. It's just what I had in a box under the bench. I'm kicking myself for selling my beetlejuice chassis bully. This is really just something to play with and let my daughter get into it with. I'll build myself an moa crawler again after Christmas. I actually tried helis for a while and I don't have the bank roll for that learning curve. I like to actually enjoy my rc's not just contsantly repair.

Might be better of to run down to LHS and grab an rtr, but I like the tube chassis trucks. Even though they suck for actual crawling.

My best advice for what you have is a simple recipe. Xr mod the front with at least VP knuckles and xr axles. You'll gain strength and turning radius. When you wear out those gears go underdrive in the rear and stock HD in the front. Shocks that don't leak are great. Scx shocks with traxxas big bore X rings are solid and cheap or you can just get big bores from the start.

You've been out a while, we're you still in when lipos and good motors hit the market?

Yea ive been running lipo's for a while. Never really messed with motors but my helis were brushless and I like the power for sure. I have some aluminum knuckles and rear lockouts. Just haven't put them on yet. Gonna keep a lookout in the classifieds for some big bores. My bully had them and they were plenty good for me.

You'll be very happy with either brood or holmes crawler motors. They are lightyears ahead of anything else on the market.
