Default Yeah racing 90mm shocks

I did a good bit of research on the yeah racing shocks before I bought them and I have to say, for the price of these shocks the quality seems great.

I have also searched the forums for what springs work best and what type of oil to use but that's where I am having a bit of trouble.

I read that 50 weight shock oil works real good so I put some 50 in it with the 4 hole pistons and the rebound is very slow, way too slow IMO.

Before I buy more shock oil I wanted to see what others were using. Also out of curiosity what spring setups are you using? Right now I have both long and short soft springs for a droop setup but I think I may swap it up to see if I can get a little better articulation.

20w to 30wt works well. I use 20wt myself in my RC4WD red 100mm shocks.

My understanding for shocks such as the Yeah Racing, Boom Racing and Gmade Transitions amongst others is that they work better with a lower weight shock oil.

As noted above 20-30 is a good starting point. 50wt is quit thick.

Ordered some 20wt to start out with. Thanks for replies. Once I get the oil I may take out the semi droop and give the full sprung a shot.

That's one of the things that appealed to me with the yeah racing shocks, they came with several different springs for different combos.
