If it is in reality happening, I am begging them to STOP with the black decals covering the windows, at least for this vehicle. I mean, at least most RTR bodies are cheap to get the clear replacements to do a proper paint job - but this one wouldn't be.

I know they do it so they can shoot the underside without masking to save a couple pennies... but COME ON! It has always looked like crap.

Also, IF they do release this chassis - it may well end up with an entirely different body - depends on final licensing details.

It would be a good thing, in my opinion, if they did release a decent crawler/scaler - more competition, and bringing more public interest to the hobby because of their massive advertising budget.

Even more bodies, wheels, tires, and accessories would be sure to show up for use on it and other crawlers/scalers.

(I have a love/hate relationship with April Fools now that the internet is so popular - there are so many fake product releases, some hilariously ridiculous and some that i actually wish they WOULD make!)

Read the article - could actually be very interesting...from the posted link:

"Two are for locking the front and rear diffs, like Summit. The third is a high-low shifter? Or a center diff? Most likely high-low"

All conjecture at this point.... but in the Traxxas thread on this site it has been noted that multiple sites are reporting on this, and the Nuremburg Toy Fair is a really big deal in the industry, always has been.

I have the scale section toggled off so I wouldn't have ever seen the rig unless I opened this thread. Not everyone wants 1839 different sections to scroll through top to bottom on the main forum page.


That said PsychoJ-lo texted me the pics a while ago anyway.

For the most part you're right but I do pop in and see what the nerds are up too once in a while. I just don't need that section clogging up my main page. I'd be overjoyed if we could toggle each forum on and off individually. I'd have like 8 forums total top to bottom.

I think every time a major name newly-designed rig is released this occurs, sometimes even with just a product that will appeal to a wide range of users.

Doesn't bother me much, gets sorted in the end - Same thing happens on forums about non-rc stuff.

It is very big news, frankly - the thread about Traxxas needing to release a scaler had mostly comments about how they would never, ever do it!
