The winner will be selected after the vehicle is generally available AND once the group reaches 1000+ members.

"No Canada" probably has something to do with customs. I'm pretty sure the rules for exporting contest prizes (money or products) are different from the rules for exporting purchased goods.

I would gladly pay the extra shipping and duty costs. I also have a shipping address just over the boarder. Or it could be shipped as a gift? Is it not technically a gift? Honestly though I am used to this sort of thing, so no hard feelings.

It's all just legal stuff guys.

...But if your "uncle" or "grandma" who lives in the US and gives zero farts about RC trucks happens to join the group and wins, we have no way of knowing that they are shipping the truck to you after "they" win.




Unfortunately, the U.S. only restriction is due to the various global laws over giveaways. Many countries ban them completely, others require an element of skill or require selection by chance ... and some have language requirements (Quebec), etc.

It's a legal nightmare to attempt to comply with laws in all of these countries and we aren't lawyers.
We are a small family run operation, not a huge corporate machine with a bunch of lawyers sitting around.
We know we have many loyal customers around the world, but it's just not feasible and it does make us sad too.

You'll see similar policies on many other giveaways for the same reasons I stated above.

BUT...
I will see if I can't convince the guys at socrawl to do a giveaway in the group for a set of wheels for Canada only.
AND I will talk to the guys at oneten for the same in Australia.

No promises though.

Sounds like the guys at SOCrawl and OneTen are both willing to give away a set of wheels for those that join the TRX-4 group.

So for those of you in Canada and Australia... keep your eyes peeled on your local forums and what not.

I'll also update this post with their giveaway info as it gets posted.

Well it is a giveaway so put it as a gift..andwe always pay customs at our end no matter what..
