Default Slipper Eliminator kit for SCX10/AX10 Transmisson

I've been waiting for a while for lockeduprc to get their slipper eliminator kit back into stock. I'm now at the point in my build that i need it.

Does anyone else do a similar thing? I've got the original parts from the AX10 that i think i could use to do it, but ideally i'd like replace the plastic part that the spur gear screws to.

Thanks for any help.

Was always wanted to try out of one these Slipper Eliminator kit since last year, but they are always run out of stock. Ended up with Robinson Racing 32P Slipper Kit Steel Slipper(56T)( Ordered from SuperShafty ) and of cause happy with it.

Venom used to make an aluminum version of the plastic slipper eliminator from the AX10, I picked up one still in the package on eBay not too long ago.

Edit: There is one on ebay now: Venom VNR4017 Gear Adapter: Axial AX10

Use it with Axial top shaft AX30197

Sorry on the out of stock!

We had a batch of the top shafts but I was not happy with them.
So we are remaking them.

Should be back in stock soon.

Thanks for the info and great news. I have needed 2 for a bit, checked periodically and have the back In Stock alert. Had one in my SCX and wraith and work perfectly.

Do you have any of the spur adapters on their own in stock? I assume they would work with stock original AX10 shaft, which i have a few of?

I believe we do but they are not listed individually.

I'll get a separate listing in the store.

Lovely job. That'll get me sorted until the full kits are back in stock. Will it work ok with the AX10 shaft?

Any ETA on when the kits will be in stock? I assume you don't have the gear adapters in stock either as I don't see them in a separate listing in the store. Sorry if I sound impatient, I've been waiting for these since February.

If you have no patience waiting...

you could simply drill thru the rear stock slipper plate...
then tap some threads into the rear plate and put in some screws using locktite.

If the slipper assembly can't slip - spin, then it will be locked.

Shouldn't need a different slipper shaft to do that.

Or just wait and spend more money

Are the stock Axial parts still available? The original AX-10's didn't use a slipper, we just snapped driveshafts instead.

Yep, but you gotta buy a transmission case to get the slipper eliminator. I went with the Venom piece because I've warped and stripped the plastic before. Also, I was not aware of LURC piece, otherwise that would be on the truck.

Click the image to open in full size.

If anyone has an old slash 4x4 slipper it will work in the Axial tranny, and you can tighten it until it is fully locked. Thats what I run in my Wraith with a pro4 and 3s power without any issues for years now. Plus you can find a spur gear anywhere.
