The chassis was purchased from Balistic17. Can't remember who built it...but it's well done. Maybe Balistic can chime in and refresh my memory.

More later
Thanks for looking

You might see the MMP...it's the only brushless controller I have...but a rather large footprint. I have some space issues...nothing new for tube builds. It always seems you have plenty of space...till you start putting it all in.

I modified the original lexan tray that this came with...kind of o dropped setup to get some height space...the MMP is tall with the fan. It will fit now.

I hope to get a picture of all this shoehorned in there today if I get some time.

The motor is a 13.5
I don't have a faster motor...this was plenty quick in the old rat rod. I keep mentioning this ...here's a picture for

Clanker is alive and well my good friend...miss bashing around with the large mammal

Yes, she'll be a bit on the fat (is that socially acceptable these days?) side. With as fast a motor as I can find...I'm reminded of your outrunner

3D printed...apparently there are some seats to be had as well. I hope I can get my hands on them. I haven't figured out how to get it out of the chassis yet though.

I have some time today...hope to make some progress

Fat is always acceptable. I wouldn't recommend the outrunner for a somewhat go fast though. Maybe a roc, pro4 or the new castle slate, just acquired the latter and will update you.

Oh, but that outrunner would howl.....hmmm....we'll have to take that conversation offline.
Have not heard of this "slate" you speak of.

So, Mr. Wad
Looked up that "slate " motor...seems like a color change to the can...hopefully a bit of speed comes with that!

I had somewhat limited time the last couple of days...didn't want to rush actually...here are some progress pics.
Wanted to secure the electronics and battery mount before getting into the fun stuff.
She fired right up...

Was very concerned about the motor and sensor wires hitting the spur...they clear nicely! Although the cab floor will sit up just a bit , I think that will be acceptable ...we'll see once I get my hands on the seats.

I didn't get a pic of the interior floor
My bad...all this fit nicely though

Thanks for looking

She's coming together nicely . Slate motors are not just the color change, castle's first sensored brushless. And after this weekend, it's an awesome motor and the traxxas trx-4 is a tough truck.

You had that Trx-4 on your mind since it came out...I'm not surprised. If anyone can put a truck through some $hit you can.
So does the Castle have some nice wheel speed? I have some RB-IIs that need to spin and balloon up.

I've been lacking
Too much other stuff going on too

It's together
And right off I didn't like the front suspension. I need a stiffer shock spring. And there's some tight clearances in places.
And the Rockbeasts might not be the right tire...but it's all I have right now.

Overall quite happy with the initial set up otherwise.

So had a bit of time this morning. Changed the front springs.
A bit stiffer and sits much better.

Also...I put my class 3 wheels and proline flat irons on to see how that looks...I think I like them better than the VP I tried first. I don't want a blingy bouncer....what do you think?

No driver yet wad man...Wonder Woman maybe lol...my lady voted for her so far...I'm also struggling with an accent color...if I murder out the interior...be hard to see any detail. Don't want to overdo it though...any suggestions?

Also forgot some other details...

13.5 WB
11" Tw front. 10.5" rear
8lbs 9oz
13.5 brushless is almost adequate
3S 1300 mah

Meh on the last two...could go up on one of those
