| Spring too long!- Boom Racing Type G Severe lean on SCX10 II
I’ve been pretty excited about getting these shocks up and running on my nearly completed SCX10 II build. They’ve received mixed reviews, but I’ve heard enough good ones that I’m pretty optimistic they’ll function almost as well as they look. After installing, tuning, and reinstalling a couple times, the problem that I was running into is a pretty severe lean to the left when static. 100mm. Medium springs. Yeah, all the electronics are on the left, and the motor is slightly left of center, but this lean was far too severe. Removed all shocks again, adjusted piston travel with the nut in the caps so that all four felt the same. When put back together, all shocks feel to provide the same amount of rebound. The listing to port was still there. I focused then on the right rear shock, as I felt it extended further than it’s left counterpart. Upon breakdown, I noticed that the stock medium effing spring was more than 1/8” longer than the rest. Trimmed it, put which back together and reinstalled, problem solved. |

Interesting. Did cutting the spring the smoothness of that shock? Just wondering because the end that was cut doesn't have the smooth "double loop" of the original spring.
