| scx10 and wraith cvd
Evening all, I did utilize the search button but still didn't get a clear answer. Here's what I'm looking for: I have a scx axle and am looking at adding wraith c hubs and knuckles. I also have wraith cvd's available. I'm curious if anyone knows the advantage over stock scx cvd's? I would imagine it wouldn't give you the same as a xr mod axle as far as steering angle goes but wouldn't it be better than a stock scx? Anyone happen to know rough angle increase? I know I will have to cut and grind the wraith cvd's to fit the scx axle but I'm not worried about that work. I'm more worried about wasting my time for minimal to no increases... Thanx |

CVD's will definitely give you a steering increase over the stock dog bone shafts but there being a significant gain from SCX cvds to Wraith cvds I doubt. The main gains occur when doing the xr mod & using the uni shafts rather than cvds. It's my understanding that the newer SCX10.2 AR44 uni shafts will fit into Wraith C & knuckle on an SCX10 housing without the need for trimming/mod'ing the shafts, only minor shimming of the knuckle bearing. |

Thanks for the reply. The only reason I'm leaning with the ar60 cvd's is because I have a spare pair lying around. Rather than spend cash on something else which would give me minimal to no gain's over what I have on hand is what I was wondering
