Default What would you like to see the manufacturers make available?

With the release of the "new" Axial Jeep whatever it is it got me to thinking about what I really want from the manufacturers. For me I would like to see a kit that comes as a roller with no tires or body but with upgraded parts like metal links, tranny gears,HD ring and pinions, real beadlock wheels. Maybe do a basic roller kit without the upgrades. I'd also like to see complete axle and tranny kits available separately.

Yes and not just bodies meant for the monster truck crowd to adapt to our needs.

I'd like to be able to buy a kit that needs no upgrades or aftermarket parts. They do exist but are as rare as hens teeth. I don't mean it's filled with 7075 machined parts either.

It would probably cost more than just doing the upgrades yourself.

I would like to see the parts that the vendors advertise actually in stock. It is frustrating to look up parts only to see them out of stock.

Would be nice if they make all technical specs and measures available.
It's a hassle if you search for parts finding measures or specs.

Also it would be nice if the new kits don't need close to 10 month to be available in europe

I'd like to see fair value pricing on kits vs RTR. I'll pick on Axial for the moment. Their kit prices average about $60 -$70 off the RTR. Now look at their prices for a transmitter, receiver, ESC, motor, servo (all included in the RTR) and I don't think they are even discounting their own cost on these items. Sure you may get aluminum links and aluminum shock housings but . . . . . . . . Just sayin'. And, I'll concede you're always going to pay more for the individual item vs a complete assembly. Just go price parts for your 1:1. Probably cost you a million bucks to buy every part to assemble yourself. Sometimes its cheaper in the long run to buy the RTR and sell all the unwanted stuff to finance the up-grades you really want. Somebody is bound to want those original plastic parts and electronic stuff. As long as they're not checkin' out this forum.

Maybe stop with the JK this and Cherokee that and make some things like TJs, CJs, and Willys in both lexan and hardbody form. Also maybe team up with companies like GenRight Off-road, or Poison Spyder to make scale lift kits and chassis kits, etc... to greatly advance the scaler market

Pre cut clear bodies, or at least the difficult & crucial cuts made at the factory. The new Axial Jeep body comes to mind, as I don’t want to think about the janky job I’m going to do at clearing out the grill & tailights.

Correct scale driver figures. If only Hasbro would do some of their GI Joe figures in the 6” Black series/ Legends scale, particularly O13 Clutch & Breaker

A true scale Pick-up kit that comes out of the box like the full size might come from the factory.

A true scale VW Beetle Chassis, with the ability to produce a mild showroom version, Wild dune buggy version, a sand rail, or a Meyers Manx version.

I would be happy with a second generation 05-11 Doublle cab Tacoma Hardbody with a mid-long wheelbase. I am pretty good otherwise

...though I do like the idea of more customizable kits as mentioned above in a coulple of different posts

More hours in the day.

All the scale crap on the face of the planet does nothing for me. I know of a whole pile of absolutely bad ass comp crawler parts that are coming out but there isn't enough hours in the day for the vendors to keep their inventory on existing parts intact and get the new hotness prototyped, tested then to market. More hours in the day would let that happen.

I'd like different bodies with full interiors like the Axial Wraith, China eBay 2dr JK and the New Bright 4dr JK. Inner fenders, front mounted motors, esc, CMS, etc..

Mine is a two part.

1. Hardbody offerings from the big manufacturers. If Axial, Vaterra, Traxxas and even a few of the newcomers would get on board then I know they could turn out some awesome bodies. I understand including them in a kit or rtr isn't cost effective so offer them as options/upgrades. I believe the market is there and isn't going away anytime soon.

2. I'd love to see some new Tamiya solid axle scalers. Maybe a redesigned Clod, TXT or even a TLT with scale axles and of course some new bodies too.

Proline used to make a 1980 Ramcharger body, there was one for sale in the classifieds here very recently.
