Default Biggest receiver box

Hello all,
I'm building up an Ascender and need a bigger receiver box than the included fuel cell type box. I need to house:
  • an electronic on/off switch for lighting
  • a winch controller
  • a Hobbywing 3 Amp BEC
  • an RC4G receiver

What's the biggest receiver box you guys know of? (preferably Traxxas because it needs to be water tight )

Thanks guys!

Pretty sure all of the traxxas ones are smaller. The one from the X-Maxx is the biggest I think. How about a "project box" with some RTV sealant?

Depending on how much room you have for the box, you could try using a Pelican Protector 1010 waterproof case - they are inexpensive, O-ringed, padded on the inside:

Red, Yellow, Blue, or Black
4.37" x 2.87" x 1.68" (11.1 x 7.3 x 4.3 cm)

I thought the XMaxx box was partially integrated into the chassis? At least it kinda looked like it when I was working on one at the hobby shop a week ago...

I don't know of any really big Rx boxes, besides maybe a T/E-maxx radio tray. I just use two Traxxas #7424 boxes; one fits my FX-r Pro, a CC BEC, and a large capacitor, and the other fits my SR6000T Spektrum Rx and a bunch of wires and harnesses.

Do you want it the waterproof? If not, then make your own out of styrene sheets. That's what I do when I need a perfect fit. Around .060 would be thick enough. Hope this helps

Pelican usually means expensive.

Any receiver box can be waterproof with Shoe Goo.

I agree with the project box idea. It is also possible to buy them with a built-in seal like this one, and you can get them in many sizes as well:

???

I did Google it before posting - that item runs around $11...

Hence my "inexpensive" remark.
