| Best Drive Shafts-Least Play
Here is another question for my custom build, and again thanks in advance. Who are making the tightest/least mount of play drive shafts on the market at the moment? |

My MIP shafts are superb. Nice big splines to avoid 'slop' Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk |

I have two sets of MIP driveshafts and have been very pleased with them.

When you mean play you mean between the driveshaft splines themselves right? I'm only wondering what advantage you want from having a no-slop driveshaft, it seems to me the backlash from the ring/pinion gears is always worse than even a slightly worn plastic female/male shaft.

Sneetches, yes driveshaft splines and there u-joints. The gears mesh in the driveline can be shimmed to get out a lot, but I don't have experience with shaft driven RC and need help choosing most slop-less driveline for my build. This is my first crawler and build and would like to start with a grate drive line that doesn't have to be upgraded, even the kits are not left stock. So I may as well do it right the first time and be satisfied from the beginning. I am not new to RC just crawling... I don't have a 4x4 club or hobby shop close to me and so almost all my info comes from the net. Last edited by Tim3; 03-12-2018 at 06:13 PM. |
