Default RC4WD R2 transmission?

Does anyone have any experience with this transmission? Good or bad? Thanks in advance.

I have several. Never gave me any issues. Good little unit - compact and easy to work into custom builds. They should modernize it a bit IMO. Works fine as it is though.

This one is used as a forward trans.

From what I've read its a good unit. Very adjustable on ratio from 8:1 to 30:1. I picked one up used for a decent price. Like OSRC I used mine for a front monted transmission in my baroncho Three sides have mounting spots. They still make a rebuild kit as well last I checked.

Thanks guys, that's what I wanted to hear. Motor forward is what I had in mind, but space is tight.

Mine is mounted in a barrage chassis with wheelbase at 10.75" if that helps any.
