I wish these companies would just skip the graphics instead of coming up with the ridiculous crap that they put on.

What are the actual dimensions? Particularly overall length, width and wheelbase. The Willys MB was 132.25” L, 62” W (49” track width!), 80” WB. 16”x6” tires. Lots smaller than modern Jeep models, actually closer to a SxS or UTV.
I have a picture of my recently deceased grandfather standing next to one in WWII and thought about using this body to build a similar model.

Are these the same size as the 1/16 WPL trucks?

Yes, not quite sure why they are calling them 1/10 scale, they are quite close to all those other little trucks. There a few videos on Youtube comparing the size.

Awesome! Thanks so much! Looks like it is an inch narrow, but length and wheelbase are pretty close for a 1/10 Willys MB.
Those are the measurements on their site, too.

Edit: It’s even super close in width. The 62” (actually 60 7/8 ) measurement includes the spare tire.

Willys Jeeps technical Data for MB and GPW Jeeps

The wheelbase is off on the model. That is to say the front axle needs to go forward about 1/4 inch to be located where it would be on a scale jeep.
It's a really good looking model, I can't wait to fix the wheelbase and paint it up.
This will be a simple working scale RC model and not a crawler for sure.

Hi, got this toy the other day.
Nice looking, paint job on my without those nosense graphics. Usa and jeep star on it.

The rest:
Wheels softer than expected, but not some kind of performance there
Drive line is a joke. Esc, motor, power just not there. Servo is another joke.

But - it is worth just for the body and detailed hard body.

I placed china yota axles under it - but they are too wide. Would made stupid monster truck out of it...

Any source of smaller decent axles and driveline out there?

Maybe ECX Barrage or Tempest? I’m thinking the Tempest ones may work. Waiting on mine, must be a slow boat...

This thing will never be an Axial, TRX4, TF2 etc. from what I've seen on a few different sites and on Youtube the axles aren't too bad for the grade, the ring and pinion are plastic but they are much bigger than the WPL plastic ring and pinion and are way better from what I've seen, I can tell you the WPL stock plastic ring and pinions are total junk and a metal upgrades are a must. I've been seeing guys change their entire WPL axles with JJRC axles because they are much stronger. I don't have one of these yet but I do know the WPL 2 speed trans. bolts right in. Everything thing I've done with my WPL Yotas can be done with these as well, my little Yotas are pretty stout now for being small crawlers. A hobbywing 1625 esc is $19, 2spd is $18, metal CV shafts are $12 and a MG90s servo is $21 for six of them on Amazon. I have hacked Flysky radios and that's what I used for these. You could make it pretty stout for very little money, it'll never be an Axial etc. but they are fun for what they are. Also you can get more flex by eliminating the plastic helper leafs and leave the mounting screws a hair loose. I have just a hair under a $100 in my WPL Yota and it's a lot of fun.
