What a great idea, make an SCX10 v1 clone in 2018!

At least the crawler doesn't look like complete shit. They'll probably sell a lot to people looking for a cheap crawler and who are willing to spend an extra $30 to get something with a body that looks halfway decent and has some detail.
At that point I'd say add $60 more and get an SCX10ii or a TRX4 but people like cheap crap.

edit: I take that back, there is also a $50 cheaper version that doesn't have the roofrack.

That will sell like hotcakes.

And overprice the hell out of it! I cannot believe they are asking $230 bucks for this POS!

I'm not sure what you are looking at, but this thing appears to be complete garbage.

Based on what?

It's yet another iteration of the HSP crawler that the Redcat Gen7, Remo 1073/1093 and a few other designs are all based on. It's a solid platform for the money, and at $178, this one now takes the honors for being the most inexpensive iteration.

That solid rear/IFS truck is an interesting truck. It appears to be a unique chassis, which surprises me. It's bigger than the Twin Hammers/Clone Hammers stuff, but smaller than the Yeti/Rock Rey sized stuff like the Redcat Camo X4. There aren't enough pictures of the key components for me to figure out who the OEM is, but at $155, it seems like it could be a great budget rock racer option.

Based on the fact that it's $230!

Is it HSP or is it a knockoff HSP? HSP isn't great and if this is a clone of that it's even worse.

You didn't read the thread. It's $178 without the roof rack:
https://www.nitrorcx.com/51c923-maxv...ruck-grey.html

But to your point, maybe it's not an HSP. In looking closer at the best pic I can find of the axles, it doesn't seem to match HSP's older axle design used in the Gen7, nor does it match the newer style that's showing up in the Force RC Hammerjaw and the Redcat Camo X4. Maybe there's a new player in the cheap solid axle arena. I guess we'll have to see how this one pans out.

You are assuming I didn't read the thread and you are wrong. I did see the second link with the cheaper truck, but the OP posted the $230 version. And $50 more for a roof rack is a joke all by itself.

Bodies are hideous. If these were cheaper ($100 or less) they'd make great cannon fodder for hacking up into frankenmobiles.

Looks like there's a trophy truck version too. $109 seems pretty cheap! Does anyone know if this is a unique chassis or is it "borrowed" from somewhere else?

https://www.nitrorcx.com/51c959-maxrock-16-sct-red.html

EDIT: actually this one is 1/16 scale but the rock racer is 1/10.

Great truck for a newb/kid . I would buy a few of these, parts are out there if theythey are hsp/redcat copies\clones.

Cheaper than the redcat. Why not ?
Parts are out there for all the different crawlers, apparently.

Anyone watch the video and see how bent the rear bumper is? Just funny to see that kind of eff-up in a promo video that is otherwise fairly well done.

Around 1:54 where the bumper mount tubes are bend to the right and you can see the holes are oblong?

Anyone bought one yet? I'm very interested in ordering one just to check it out. I can't find any reviews online.
