No edit needed. Never had a major issue myself. Seen the odd thing on here but SSD is an active member so they seem to rectify things quickly. Their products have always been great that I’ve purchased. These shocks looks great and if I needed new ones, it’s what I’d be buying.

Surprising to hear you had a bad experience. Hopefully you get a PM to resolve whatever it was.

This is the first time I’ve given these a good look as I hadn’t realized they were out! Nice work SSD

If I’m not mistaken these are similar to the GTS shocks but with bushings in addition to the x rings and the spacer. Doesn’t appear to have a bladder like the incision shocks. I’m a little confused as to how you’d rebuild them because of the bushings. It doesn’t look like you could get those out but they got them in there so...(edit* Looks like it all just stacks in the lower shock cap, just can’t see it in the cutout view above)

Trx4 shock body is OD 11mm vs SSD as 10mm. Traxxas has 25mm of travel whereas SSD has 24mm. I think that makes the SSD shock 66mm at full compression vs 65mm for the traxxas. Very comparable IMO. Going to have to try these on the next not-another-trx4-build.

$34.99 is a great price too. Fingers crossed we’ll see an 85mm or 80mm option.

I think his post is correct. Yours is the one that is unusual.

What are your complaints about SSD's products and customer service?

Thanks for all the information I ended up going with Big Bores with losi springs or “Todd Shocks”
