TRX-4 vs SCX10 gearing help. I've forever ran a 56t spur / 10t pinion on my SCX10's. I'm working on a new TRX-4 build and would like to run whatever is comparable? I have a single speed TRX-4. What size spur and pinion should I run that would give me the same speed? Thank you in advance. "thumbsup" |
Re: TRX-4 vs SCX10 gearing help. SCX10 or SCX10II? 56/10 on a SCX10 would be about 42.5:1 which would be between a 16T and 17T pinion with the 45T spur and a single speed on a TRX4. 56/10 on a SCX10II would be about 54.6:1 which would be a 13T pinion with the 45T spur and a single speed on a TRX4. |

I'll grab a set of pinions and a 45T spur. Thank you! |
Re: TRX-4 vs SCX10 gearing help. I'm running 13/45 on my Sport with stock motor and 1080esc. Great crawling set up. Decent trail speed - fast walking pace. |

The 45T spur is the stock one for all models but the Sport so you likely have the right spur if you have a TRX4 trans. |

Re: TRX-4 vs SCX10 gearing help. The Sport manual has all the gear ratios and FDR's on page 27....since it has the single speed, should have all the info you need. Basically (spur/pinion)*15.8 ...Comes in handy... https://traxxas.com/sites/default/fi...-OM-EN-R00.pdf |
