New Axial Wraith 1.9
 

I haven't seen any threads on here about this, but Axial are releasing a new rig called the Wraith 1.9. as far as I can tell from HemiStorm's video, it is NOT an scx10, which is pretty cool. It also seems to be made of a new plastic, not the old Axial twizzlers.

I feel more or less the same way, but then again, I never got the whole 1.9 Wraith thing to begin with. But, 99% of the people seem to love it, so what do I know?

Just seems that the whole plastic frame rails situation and integrated looking skid plate/sliders look really cheap

The skid plate is the same as the SCX10 II skid plate. The frame is rigidly attached to the cage, so I'm assuming that the whole contraption will be pretty robust... especially if they've stopped using the garbage Axial plastics of old.

to me it seems to be a deadbolt 10.2 with a cage instead of frame rails.

yeah, I kind of felt the same way. Almost an AX10 II Deadbolt.

Thats in reference to the chassis, not the actual cage design in this case. The cage uses the same part #s as before, It's how it attaches with the boatsides at the skidplate thats all new.
