Default Psycho’ PAT performance scale crawler

Saw this few days ago on Facebook. Seem like another high performance trail truck. Axles are available in AR60 style or AR44

Very high pinion gear in my opinion

On Suzuki Jimmy body now

Chassis is ugly as heck and not scale at all, but it's all very innovative and I like the axle housings, just need regular end bits without the comp style tungsten weight holders.

Hi,

It's not a scale chassis, it's a scale PREFORMANCE chassis, as hillkiller, or toyzuki, for example

Axles are made to be used with TRX4 gears.

Yes, I realize that, cool but I prefer scale.
Yes, great choice in axle gears, cheap, readily available, three ratios (stock, overdrive and underdrive), I like it.

This rig needs some solid brass rear lockouts that hang low in some one piece 3d printed wheels, and a solid brass knuckle set that has some material hanging down in some one piece 3d printed wheels for the weight style to be legal in WRCCA and SORRCA rules. I have some designs. But im not willing to get them printed or machined. Pat has some awesome rig designs. The belly of this rig dates back to 2014 IIRC...

but yes, all WRCCA scale rules and SORRCA rules are for is performance. there are some exceptions in class 1 regarding rail height... but, still neither set of rules require c channel.

I would not compare this goofy thing to Toyzuki. This thing is probably the closest "scale" chassis I've ever seen to TVP. Besides that, it's hideous.

Nice work on building a "scale" shafty. SMH.

Nice comment coming from someone who openly says he owns an R1 and uses the work "scale" 🤣😂 pat's rig is innovative and awesome performance wise.

You're awfully offended over a simple opinion...so is it your design?

The thing is ugly. It's hideous. And with all the colors in some of the photos it looks like Fisher Price is making it.

But it has some different things so I'm all for it. You'll never know what works and what doesn't unless you try it.

Did this platform ever amount to anything? Mainly wondering about the axles?

Why would you want those axles as opposed to the stock ones?

Googling the 3DTRX alxes does bring up a few shapeways listings.

They look like they offer a bit more pinion/castor split, noo more lower link mount bolts too loosen, and additional mounting locations for tuning. Also curious if the ring/pinion survive being located with an upper cover VS the conventional rear cover.

Pretty sure it's popular in Europe, as it's made in France. I think there are a few stateside, though not sure who owns them or where..

It's a very interesting design, I think its pretty damn cool.

Cheers,
Gable
