Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! https://www.facebook.com/plugins/pos...%3A0&width=500 Seems like AE has one coming now too. I'm gonna be broke if Axial has a new release, SSD seems to have a truck coming, and AE is now jumping in. |
Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! What, SSD has a truck coming......??? Drool.[emoji85] Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk |
Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! Right?! I’m trying to hold my marbles for the ssd release. Thankfully the mog fomo has passed. Excited to see what this is, too |

Unfortunately it unfolded into full on general SCX10.2 fomo and I built a raw builder's kit and threw a Mamba X, Puller Pro, and SHV500v2 into it. Hilux cab and tube bed incoming. I can't believe how much more I like the Axial than the TRX4. Simple, scale, and lightweight. Crawls like nothing else, even near-stock. The TRX4 is now the companion I can use to get friends into the hobby with some trail crawls. |

Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! I just hope it isn’t some Chinese POS that Thunder Tiger slapped the Associated name on. |

Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! Yeah, I’m getting a little overloaded from all the changes in the market. I preordered the UMG10 from RPP, but then returned it about a week after it was delivered. Just not inspired to build it. Instead of a refund, however, I chose store credit, because I think I’d like a good RTR (just haven’t had time or a good space to build anything after moving into our new home last fall). I was thinking about the TRX4 Blazer, but it was out of stock, but at the same time I got notification of my store credit, I was notified of renewed stock on the TRX4 Blazer. Then, of course, there’s this new Element RC truck, and tomorrow Axial will probably release an RTR UMG10. I kinda see the Blazer notification as an omen, but I figure it might be worth it to see how the week plays out. Even if I ordered the Blazer right now, it likely wouldn’t get here until next week anyway. |
Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! the front almost looks like an old international pick up from the late 60's early 70's... Almost.. |
Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! Front axle doesn't look particularly scale. |

No really, let us see. The axles kinda remind me of a cross between the the older AR44s and your D60s with addition of a ugly, flat diff cover. |
Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! Those are the coolest stock wheels on any truck that I've seen. It's about time somebody does deep dish wheels. Why does everybody license Methods though? Do they not know there are other off-road wheel brands out there? Still, it's the best scale looking wheel maybe ever IMO. The truck itself looks like a generic ranger with some odd, Chinese axles. Unless there's something under that body that blows us away, this is an odd truck to start a brand with unless they only plan on competing at the low end with ECX, etc. |
Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! I do like those wheels and tires. I'm curious if there will be something different about the chassis that sets it apart from all other rigs out currently or if it will just be the selling price that makes it attractive. Time will tell... |

Re: Team Associated teasing a scale crawler! I'm guessing that doing a licensed body costs more than doing licensed tires, so that's why they stopped short. The body doesn't particularly bother me though. I do like the wheel and tire combo! |
