| A quickie on pinion size.
I know this has been discussed but I have not found a clear answer relating to my question: I converted my SCX10.2 to the v1 style trans with an aluminum trans case and stock motor plate. I am running a Crawlmaster Pro 13t with 11/56 gearing however I want to gear it down a bit more. It looks like I am almost our of room for proper mesh with the 11t pinion and was wondering if I can still get the gears to mesh properly with a 10t. With the v2 plastic transmission I had to modify the motor plate and transmission case to get the 11t to mesh properly (hence one of the reasons I converted to the older style transmission)

I wanna say 11/56 is the lowest you can go without going to a bigger spur (which can cause driveshaft clearance issues) or making more clearance to move the motor closer. I had 10/56 in one of my rigs but I couldn't quite get the mesh as close as I wanted, it was very close to good though.

if you cant get the 10t to mesh get a 57t spur it should be bigger by just enuff to get the mesh right and lower your gearing alittle bit more

I get a bit of gear lash with a 10/57t ... never thought it might be a bit small All metal gears I might add....sounds a bit like a chain saw Will try an 11t pinion and see how that works |

A plastic option in 57t would be nice but I am having trouble finding one. I enjoy having a quiet rig.

I run a 96t 48p spur and a 9t 48p pinion that is trally close to a 64t 32p spur in size. I just run stock drivelines and never had clearence issues. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

If you get a slipper eliminator from incision or can't, remember the name of the other company I think it's locked up RC then you can get a spur from Kimbrough. Or maybe the one from Kimbrough will just fit or you have Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
