i hate to nit-pick at this awesome chassis but that's...
well maybe at SBG where its cool/funny to have your brands mismatched on your rig, but... leave that to us?

This is well done indeed. All the stuff we would upgrade on any of this kits we buy is included in this kit. Price is right and what I expected from previous comments in this thread. I think the proline metric body would work well on this.

I’m in love. I’ve been waiting on a full SSD rig. I hope some Toyota engine cover options are in the mix. The offset diff and OD gears is simply badarse. Thank you SSD you have been my favorite scale company for some time now. I see a few of these in the Arsenal very soon.

People put Chevy engines in everything and for good reason - cheap, reliable and powerful. And any truck engine and axles can be transplanted to other trucks. This is a non issue. People say they want scale, but most of those people only want stock scale or they lock up. I've never been scale stickler because I realize 1:1 trucks get modified too.

This chassis is awesome and has things a lot of us have been begging for.

Someone on IG pointed out the motor placement. Anyone think it sits too far back for bodies with opening hoods?

Chevy n international have buddied up n made a new truck. International dropped ford wen ford decided to build thier own diesel engines. Which sucks, the 7.3 powerstroke was a dang good engine, glad ive got one lol. But alot of ford guys are doin a cummins swap in the new trucks...

All gear mesh is a guessing game even if you can see it. Guess get better with experience though.

The motor covers usually just slide over the motor so you could potentialy push the motor forward, it looks like there's maybe 3/4" to move it forward. If it looks weird you might be able to make up something that looks like a tranny case to transition to the actual tranny

I wonder if other scale engine covers are going to fit on this chassis. I think the motor cover could have been offered as a separate piece for a mere $50, which would make the chassis at $399 very attractive. But, that’s just my opinion of course.

If you like the SCX10-II platform, this is a no brainer. It will be tough, require no upgrades, and makes the chassis end of a build very simple. Overall I think it’s a great option for most people. The scale trans is by far the highlight of the release, but I think people might undervalue the great shocks, steel driveshafts, good links, and nice axle housings. This thing will eat a RBK alive.

The only thing I don’t care for is the batter placement, but there’s really not much for options and that something a person could easily alter depending on the body chosen.
