They look exactly like scx10 frame rails.

Thanks guys! I was hoping the rails were a little higher clearance, but not sure if really needed. My brain fart on wheel base! I knew that! I really like this kit and think it's spot on for next build!

Someone said in the news that the SSD Trail King chassis has the engine and transmission way too back. Looks like he hasn't really seen a motor and transmission on a chassis.

Thanks
We are going to release a spacer anyway.

There are plenty of other option parts in the works also.

You must work for CNN..........forgot a bit of that statement....

the part about "for many current bodies" The other fact is most chassis and bodies do not scale out accurately. And as SSD stated, a spacer solves that.

I wish we could let it ship before expert statements get tossed out for consumption and assumption

So the guy that says an engine that sits right behind the front axle is nothing like a real car proves this by posting a picture of a 1:1 chassis where the engine sits right behind the front axle?

I took it that way, but after reading it a few times I think he was showing SSD isn't wrong in their placement. So I think he's saying SSD did it right. I think... LOL

Who's Josh? I only know the first names of a few people on this site and that's either because of their username or because I've talked to them via PM, Facebook or real life.

Harley said on his Scale News Update that the only gripe with the SSD chassis is the engine may be too far back for most bodies. I think thats who he was quoting but hey i could be wrong.

It’s made that way to increase performance and allow for a wider use of bodies. And on most 1:1s I have experience with the engine sits back in the firewall so it is further back on the chassis. Why don’t ya hold the comments until there are some videos of it.

I agree with you. Now, shouldn't SSD be commended for their efforts in releasing this kit?
