Sorry I missed this. It all depends on the motor. The VFD Transmission is not designed to fit HD / 550 motors. It didn't fit in CAD but I still tried to mount a Roc412HD to confirm and no go. Some HD motors may fit. If you can fit one I know the gears will hold up to the abuse. I will look into designing another motor plate if its within millimeters as the current motor plate is 6mm thick and naturally overkill.

We tested with BL 2300 and 3100kv motors on 4S, low gearing, tall gearing, big sticky tires, transmission didn't even flinch.

Overkill is good, but needs to fit HD / 550 motors.

I don't see why you would want an HD motor in a 1.9 truck.

Some peeps like wheelspeed and crawlability combined, at least it should fit a 550 motor ie. Traxxas Titan 21T or HH 550 can.

PullerPro 2700 on 3s or 2200 on 4s should end that need. Not sure why more would be needed, but the 2700 on 4s is insane

Great performing motors, but can't stand the noise they make. I've seen several builds in the past using some insane power, but CURRENTLY ( ) I've been pretty happy with 3S and 550 21T (even better with 2-speed), but 4S with that combo sounds nice lately too.

He didn't say to use that irritating outrunner, the 2700 puller inrunner is nice and quiet.

A 500 piuller pro 11t on 4s is silly in my C2, no way I'd even consider a 550 if for no other reason the fitment issues.

Yes, our current Origin body and interior actually sits with a ton of room over the transmission. A deeper interior is possible now.

That would be awesome!

I hear ya. With the new chassis and VP options (offset front axle available anyday now) My wish list of builds keeps growing and not enough time with a toddler running around at home! At least I get the luxury of designing cool stuff and watch what you guys do with it.

My pleasure!

Well there's a lot in this thread that says hold tight to finish the vs410. I may also have some insight on the motor and esc combo that will work best. I inquired about that spare part this week now my answer is glaring me in the face

Will this work with centered axle pumpkin or does it need vs4-10 type offset pumpkin?

Ill check the Titan 21T. I honestly didnt know that was a desired motor. If I got brushed I grab a Tekin 35T or something from Holmes. After years at Axial always running brushed setups I've finally found a BL setup I am happy with. Roc412 2300kv on 4S is amazing.

Its designed around an offset axle. Motor on the passenger side. Driveshaft on the driver side. Anything is possible in custom applications of course.

So low, so very low.

Is that a skidplate underneath the motor?
