Wow that is low...bad ass!

So is there part of it hanging down next to the drive shaft? That looks like it could get caught up on the terrain especially near full compression of the suspension.

Its designed around an offset axle. Motor on the passenger side. Driveshaft on the driver side. Anything is possible in custom applications of course.

What do the front mounting points look like?

Yes, motor is protected from front to back.

The skid angles up just slightly and matches lower links at full compression. I found having the skid plate reach that far forward actually reduces hang ups from a standard skid plate with an edge where the front lower links mount. Gives it a smooth transition if that makes sense. My test rig has a lot of marks on the bottom center of the skid plate, very few towards the front motor protection area.

Pretty sure it is. I'm thinking this might be a builders kit not just a transmission.

Wishful thinking, but the axles have a similar shine to the skid plate & sliders. Here’s hoping they are plastic.

Here is a super awesome suggestion: VS4-10 owners get first priority when you start taking VFD orders. OG silver edition owners first, then black edition, then the commoners.

This is a totally fair way of distributing what will undoubtedly be a highly desirable item, not suggested because it would greatly benefit me.

Pass the idea on to the boss man.

Sounds like favoritism. In that case I bought a ripper so I go ahead of you all.

The theory makes sense.

I'm definitely interested to see more photos.

The HH Trailmaster Sport is dimensionally the same as a Titan 550 (36x57mm) and has become the go-to cheap brushed motor for many. I know it's not news to you, but going from a 540 to 550 brushed motor gives a fair increase in torque, so it's popular for those that want to keep the smooth feel of a brushed motor, but either can't justify the cost, nor need all the extra power of a GOOD brushless system. In other words, hopefully it'll fit!

when do we see an over-head "bird's eye view" of this? really curious with the motor UNDER the transmission. never seen that and its very creative/intriguing.
curious if there is room in front of the trans "bell housing" for a scale motor, maybe over top of the servo? pardon my unfamiliarity with VS410 layout.

im really squeezing the trigger on a new rig, just not sure where i will be aiming when the pin hits the primer!!! things are heating up!!!

Makes sense! If its 57mm you're good to go. There is 60mm of space between the motor plate and the case around the first set of gears. I looked at a trx 21T 550 just now and it looks like the motor shaft extends beyond, that might be an issue. Not that it couldnt be cut down if needed.

Multiple battery locations. You can see the straps in the photo for a full size pack. More info coming soon on the adjust ability not quite shown in that photo.

I know the current battery tray would have to go. My question is... Will they release a replacement tray? I will be adding this to my current VS for sure. Its already an amazing rig cant wait to see what this will do for it.
