First order from Shapeways.

There's a few items I want from Knight Customs but I am in the UK, just wondering if I order via Shapeways, will it ship from within the UK or come from the USA?
Not quite sure how the whole deal works.

I think it comes from the Netherlands or where ever they are. I've never had import but the prices and shipping is quite expensive.

Ahhh I should have researched more, I just assumed it was USA based.
Don't mind the shipping actually it's only 8 dollars.
Just don't want the dreaded 'handling fee' because it's usually £12 for me being in a rural place, apparently that's the reason

I have ordered twice from them and the packages had US Postal cancellation on them. Where the items shipped into the US then repackaged?

They were printed and shipped from their New York location.

Something I have noticed which is a bit annoying is not only does the shipping go up if I get it sent to me in the UK, but the cost of the actual items goes up by about 15% as well, compared to sending them to the USA.
That's annoying, I might look at another route, I just want a grill and exo lightbar mount for my UMG10... The grill I could possibly make myself but I can't do the lightbar mount.
Anyone got any alternatives.

I've noticed that too. The price is in $'s until you start to checkout then it converts to £'s and then add some more. I've stopped using shapeways now. The last thing i looked at was a Grille for the Proline SR5 Cab. It worked out about £40! So i didn't bother...
