Dont have any experience with the HR trans, but have been running this in a truck for a little while and have had no issues (less than half the price too) - https://www.amazon.com/RZXYL-Alloy-A...-1-spons&psc=1 Has an 87t 48p metal spur which I replaced with a plastic 32p. All internal gears are metal and seem pretty tough. |

That hot racing trans is solid. My rental has had one for over a year and not a single issue.

I have had very good luck with HR transmissions. Have 4 of them in my MOAs and know 2 people running that exact one you are looking at. I am not sure a bout 87lc2's sugestion. If the gears are alloy that probably means aluminum of some type. Not sure I personaly want aluminum gears in my internal gears in my rigs, I have never used them. I know that aluminum spurs have never lasted for me. Good luck on this build I will be watching for more updates. |

| Re: Hot racing complete transmission. This winter I was running a mamba x with a 2850 kg slate on 4s through the trans. Other than a steel spur gear it is untouched. HR gears are very good quality, supershafty uses then in their lifetime warranty bombproof transmissions if that tells you anything.

I think you're confused....SO Not sure how this could or would fit in a MOA (Motor On Axle)....MOA s have a gearbox as part of the axle. If you would have clicked the link you would have seen "Alloy Cased" nowhere does it say alloy gears This trans is a fine buy at the price, BUT its not close to the HR version | |
