You better have a pass through Capra axle and a plan throw those axles under your new 6x6.

Or a new xr10 kit with bigger bearings and cutting brakes

I can be a PITA...fair enough!

I have been the biggest Axial detractor, but I've simultaneously been the biggest Horizon proponent so you should have at least some love for me.

You seem to be focusing on the Axial issues I've complained about most - quality of plastics and sloppy tolerances. So I guess I wasn't wrong!

Once Horizon neutered the Ascender and relegated it to a budget model I lost all interest in Horizon's scalers. I hate that the Ascender has been figuratively killed. The more competition we have in this hobby the better for us - the end users. But I understand that it wouldn't make any business sense for Horizon to produce competing products like the Ascender and SCX10. And Horizon is obviously pushing ahead with Axial because it's one of the most well known and respect names in this scaler game so that also makes sense.

That lull between the Ascender and the severe mishandling of Axial (pre-Horizon) is, IMO, what allowed Traxxas to step in and absolutely crush it. The TRX-4 is now my favorite truck by far. I'd love to see sales numbers of the current scaler models just for my own curiosity to see if Traxxas it the new sales leader. But I digress.

I absolutely look forward to see what Horizon does with Axial specifically the next iteration of the SCX10. I know your company has the ability to make the best scaler out there. I don't want to see Axial fail. I want it to improve and thrive. Like I said, competition is good.

I look forward to seeing what Horizon comes up with.

Yep.

Based on the abuse my 8ight-T went through, the Capra should last roughly forever if I'm not launching it 15 ft into the air at 40-50 mph on a regular basis.
Agreed!

Wow I havnt posted in here in a loooong time.
After ecsc class 2 I will be looking for updated axles. My current 10.1 axles are showing there shortcomings compared to 10.2 and portal designs.

I just want to know how wide those axles are. Maybe we will get a new body or tube frame out of this too. This is interesting.

Well i am new in this, my first car was the LCC crawler,,, which i still have but dont drive as there are 0 challenges for it here.
So now and then my brain come up with the idea to put the LCC transmission into a crawler, just for the hell of it and then at least some losi parts get to run again.

Rich was much supportive and fast to forward me some new worm gears back in the day

I really just wanted some portal axles to use under my 10.2 bastard, would like to not having to buy yet another ride.

What’s the likelihood of a builder’s kit version of the Capra being released? If it’s in the cards, will it be released alongside the RTR or come some time later?

I'd say November for the kit version, not sure I'm going to wait.

Wonder what that servo attached to the trans is. Possible dig or 2 speed?
