Re: Tamiya CC02! Man, it’s got so many similarities to the MST! I’ll probably buy one I’m sure. |

Re: Tamiya CC02! There is a video now on YT where you can see it in movement (lame video alert): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaaQBz6d3so |

Re: Tamiya CC02! Cool video, shows the trailing aspect it's designed for. Inner fenders and interior would look almost like 1:1! Build it with open diffs or maybe locked rear only for some fun trailing! BTW, I always used to think Tamiya used Phillips head screws, but they are actually JIS which is better provided you buy the proper driver tool. Still prefer allen buttonheads. :) https://www.motorcycle.com/ask-mo-an...-phillips.html |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Looks pretty cool to me. Although I have to say in 2019, no kit should still come with plastic bushings. Come on Tamiya.... |
Re: Tamiya CC02! I came into this hobby because of Tamiya but their new chassis' just dont do it for me. Tamiya are great at doing bodies. IMO they should make 313mm wheelbase bodies. How great would that be... |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Me too, I think a majority of the old timer RC'ers have. With the exception of their TRF offerings, they are stuck in their 80's design philosophy. Look how long it took them to start engineering in lipo compatibility to their vehicles? No reason I should have to shave down a TT01E chassis to fit a flat lipo pack. I like the quirks and "tamiya-ness" of some of the kits for sure - I think that's what makes Tamiya Tamiya ... but in other ways, they really have to get with the program. |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Hmm.. shame Tamiya uses those crappy tires. Even their hard-as-a-rock Hi-Lift tires would have been an improvement. |

I was looking through the manual to see if they have improved the driveshafts and sure enough they've ditched the tiny splines of old for the tried and trued flat spots found on almost all other crawlers and trail trucks. Thats a welcome update. https://www.tamiyausa.com/media/file...-1118-591e.pdf |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Order yet? :) |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Can't say the splines have ever given me any trouble. I've run the heck out of my Tamiya's too. Dog bones though... ugh. It will be much easier to adapt some CVD's though with flat spots for the diffs. Yes, I have one ordered. :) |

Re: Tamiya CC02! Anyone pick one up yet? Are they out anywhere? Mine got bumped back to now late November. :( |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Hi, just ordered mine at tamico.de I have built one plasticky kit from Tamiya before. And yes, it is nowere near any class winner. But super easy and quiet fun. Let's wait for the delivery man ;-) |
Re: Tamiya CC02! Mine arrived today! Be a bit before I can crack it open though EDIT: https://i.postimg.cc/L6xWnvk0/20191129-115303.jpg Thread to follow eventually. :) |
