Default M.O.A.W. 3d printed RC crawler

Hi guys,

this is my take on a 3d printed RC car. To be precise, it's a rock crawler. I call it M.O.A.W. which stands for motor on all wheels. It is a fairly simple design and intermediate hobbyist should be able to build it.

The .stl files can be found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3773272 I used PLA with 100% infill for all parts. You will also need to enable support except for the hubs. Make sure you print the hub 4 times, and the body twice (you need to mirror the second one in your slicer).

Here is a short test run:

Have fun and enjoy!

Hey, I really like that thing!

Well-engineered, and would be interesting to mount a realistic body on one.

I'm going to try this print today!

Thanks for the share, looks like a good design so far.

You are a braver man than me. If I started using my wife's pillows as crawling obstacles, I'd be attacked in my sleep.

That is cool, what adhesive are you using for the PLA?

Make the body profile a straight beam and it would be like Tyco Rebound lol

This is great! Ever thought of making it available on Shapeways for those of us with no 3D printer access?
