My original TF-2 was loaded with striped screws and soft metal. My new Marlin Crawler seems to be of better quality. But having owned it for just two weeks, time will tell. Looking forward to their new release.

I looking forward to the new release from Rc4wd. The tf2 is my go to rig when it comes to trailriding, and it holds up really well to the abuse. I had more quality issues with my Axial rigs.

Did Corky Thatcher design that bumper? Top bar goes right through the headlights, trailer park fancy.

So a long wheelbase Gelande with fancy looking SCX10 axles.

How will RC4WD ever keep up with the demand for this innovation?

Rc4wd simply built a truck using sale parts.

Looks to be all existing parts from their catalog with new frame rails.

Yeah the aesthetics feel pretty lazy, especially for an RTR. Why not even have a roll bar for the bed?

About time to correct that faux pas, sweet LOOKING bumper, but ya right through the middle of the headlights and welds have been not good from what I've seen.

Yes, plastic SCX10 looking axles.

Yes, and they are very thin (3mm) and flat, thanks I'll pass. WOulda been cooler with leaf out back and 3-link up front, but not the C2 capable maybe then?

Can’t believe with all the axles they make the chose to use plastic axles . They had me hooked til I saw that . It’s the same basic stuff as the Marlin only linked instead of leafs but the Marlin comes with metal axles . I’ll stick to the Marlin

I see new frame rails (or are they from the Gelande 2 maybe?) and a new body, the fender arches are larger than their 4 door version, and theres nothing below the front grill. Aside from that there is a real parts bin mashup feel.

I like seeing a plastic axle coming from RC4WD for some strange reason, all metal doesn't really do it for me unless its high quality materials.

What a freaking joke especially for that price! A parts bin special and a NiMH battery and charger for $500? And their plastic axles don't have the best reputation. That's all they got? No thanks. RC3WD seems to have given up on innovating for the scale truck market.

While I agree that it's lacking in innovation in some ways, it does include a painted hardbody with detailed interior, steel beadlocks, full aluminum shocks, aluminum chassis parts, metal transfer case, etc.

I'd most definitely toss that bumper as far away as I could throw it... and the bed really needs some attention to detail.

My personal pet peeve is the choice of the 4-door body, I've always found it to be very awkward-looking.

But, there are several steps taken with the design to increase performance over their previous releases.

So I understand why they picked that price point - Hell, it's the exact same price as a Marlin!

And this thread deserves a better picture than all those massively blurred shots:
