I suspect the Traxxas 6x6 will turn better than the Axial 6x6 simply due to the ability to unlock the diffs.

Good point Inspector86, I could see tooling around with only the rear axles locked and still getting a decent turning radius.

I see a kenworth coming out in the 3rd pic , just looks the rear of a diesel truck.

I'm not really interested in owning a 6x6, but this looks way better than the Axial version, and the timing on it is beautiful. Announced right after Axial's and released before it. If Traxxas drops a tube buggy right before the full release of the Capra or at least before the Capra is available, THAT would be priceless.

It looks stout like the other TRX-4 models.

I like the new tires.

The upper links are a smaller diameter now, vs being the same as the lower.

I got to drive a demo truck at my Lhs today. I must say I am mildly impressed. It turned way tighter than I thought it would. climbed really well on a wall ride of the carpet track at the Lhs. kinda fast in high gear with the 2 speed. not much articulation in the 2 rear axles. tires are slightly smaller than the 4.75 on my Enduro but they are on big wheels. It scaled out at 9.8 pounds on the scale at the track. All and all I think it is a good truck

Lucky sumbitch....

I haven't been a big fan of the locking diffs, which is why I spooled mine up on my comp TRX4. But, being able to unlock the back differentials is a giant plus on a 6X6m where spooled diffs just want to push the truck in a straight line.

Given that when I get mine the electronics will come out almost immediately and be replaced with a Mamba-X and a Spektrum RX, I am wondering what will happen if I spool up the front axle and keep the back axles lockable.

The led power module for some reason needs a receiver port. To use Spektrum 5ch receiver you will have to figure something else out or eliminate one of the locking diffs anyway.

The "servo plug" only needs a positive signal, so it's not a huge deal if you either solder it in to the power harness, or a y-harness to another channel.

I like the y harness idea. The leds will only be on when esc is on vs anytime battery is plugged in.

Interesting. That shouldn't be an issue though as the links are pretty large and kinda overkill. That's what makes the TRX-4 so strong though - it's overbuilt.

So I got to take the demo truck from my LHS out to one of our favorite local trails today. This thing is very impressive for its size. I didn't do anything crazy since it is a demo and not my truck. it climbs really well even with stock tires, turns very tight for such a long truck, nothing like my Enduro but I didn't think it would so no surprise there. It would high center sometimes because of how long it is but you could always get out of it and take a diff line. all in all my opinion is it is a great truck if you don't expect it to be a comp crawler

I've had mine since Wednesday. Been crawling about in my backyard course. The performance is great and so far it handles everything I've thrown at it. My only complaint is where the body is molded over the side steps in the rear. The Lexan is cut at a sharp angle and gets snagged on things. I already cracked my body there on one side on the first run I trimmed it so it sweeps back. Also the rear bumper doesn't fully protect the Lexan in the back end so when drop down from rocks, bricks etc it gets scraped up. Other than that I'm super happy with it so far.

You people suck and are dead to me... well, at least until I get my TRX6, then we'll be cool again....

In spite of having OT burning a hole in my pocket, I am waiting a month or two, just to see if Traxxas drops a kit version soon.
