Gentleman i just got back from work and finally was able to setup the RC crawler YK 4082 it's super fun, my kid loves it, it took me a while to figure out the battery charger for the ACG 6400 battery but it's all working now, so we have been using it for a few days now ... Here are some pictures

Question 1
Do i need a hobbywing 3in1 or also this card program thingy ? Or no need any of that stuff ?

Question 2
The tires sometimes rub on the body, are the shocks to soft or to short ?

Here are some pictures

Any suggestions are welcome as i never had a "real" rc before.

Got 4 of these in the Absima variant, great rigs for the price point!

1 no programing card needed on that esc it uses jumpers to change the settings
2 tires sometimes rub dose it bother you you can do a few things one raise the body

cut the body

lift the truck with longer shocks

run smaller wheels

ignore it and enjoy it as is

i vote for the last option personaly but its your rig

Don’t think you can raise them, they’re hinged rear magnet front

Found mine rubbed on full lock when articulated, turning down the steering dual rate helped

Rules?

I offered an option that worked for me, nothing to do with rules whatsoever.

What does this mean ? Can you explain please, or post a YouTube link so i will understand better ?

The car is on standby, broken electric, the Radio Transmitter broke (i think) so i ordered plenty spares

So i ordered DUMBORC items from AliExpress, no RC shop here that I can walk into

2 - piece radio transmitter DUMBORC X6DCG

1 - set DUMBORC X6A Radio Transmitter Remote Control with 1 piece X6DCG transmitter

1 - piece YK4082 PRO Easy Control Model 80A Brushed ESC

These spares should hopefully make the car work again

CANT BELIEVE I BROKE THE CAR AFTER 1 WEEK, hahahah

The stock ESC uses little plugs on the top to change between settings, unlike the some of the other ESC’s that use an external program card that plug in and allow you to filter through different parameters.

The stock radio is a great bit of kit, well the Absima branded rigs come with the DumboRC as stock with inbuilt light controller.

A great ESC to swap to is the Hobbywing 1080, absolutely transformed mine. Run them in 2 of them, the other two are brushless.

I just checked online and the stock ESC is Hobbywing 880 ESC

And i just bought the same as per attached picture ... so you can plug different ESC with this remote ?

I am really enjoying this hobby, but not a clue about the details ... Yet ...

Yes i have that remote with the light switch and 2 lockers also, but i bought a new one because i do not know exactly what is "broken" guess I'll just continue with the ESC 880 coz if it's not broken then i have 2 hi hi ...

So you also have the YK 4082 ? I really like the slow crawling it can do ...

I bought a 3S battery with the RC but just now i bought another 2S battery coz I read it's even more controleble

I will look on YouTube how this Hobbywing 880 work.. if not good i will change with the next upgrade to that 1080 ESC ...

The one mine had is a Hobbywing 1040…however as said mine is branded as the Absima Sherpa.

Yes you can change to more or less any ESC with your remote!

I just realised yours is the 1/8 version, mines the 1/10 sized so the equivalent is the YK4102.

Four ? Ha ha .... that's amazing, YK4102 looks exactly like the YK4082 that i have, sure they use most of the same parts .... do you still have the stock tires ? My tires are 138 mm diameter is that the same as your YK4102 ?

i really like the bigger RC , guess my next one will be a 1/5 scale crawler, but nobody makes them yet

Yes i like the YiKongs also, this is our first RC because of that I guess a few things broke already , ouch

1. the 4WD servo stoped working
2. Receiver stoped working
3. Plastic steering arm spline striped
4. Bumper is loose beond repair
5. I filled the diff's &portals with grease
6. Striped the plastic motor mount holding screw

Ordered a lot of parts already , learning a lot from this forum and asking a lot of questions

Does the steering servo last forever or do i need to order a new one just in case ? Everything i order takes 4 to 8 week shipping time
