I've never understood why people hate on G-wagons. I'm not a fan of the overdone full bodykit style that Traxxas makes, but I love the classic style, especially the 2 door versions.

Yeah an old version isn't bad but the newest models with giant rims and chrome trim, ug no thanks. For a truck that's stayed mostly unchanged (I know its changed some) for 40 years they sure have managed to add so much bling its hard to tell the design is from 1979. They've also become the epitome of rich folk mall crawlers so thats a big turn off. I must say though this body look heaps better than what Traxxas has come up with for some reason, it looks small and almost cute. I did notice in the wiki for the G wagon that its name Gelandewagon translates to "Cross Country Vehicle", pretty fitting for the CC02 platform I suppose. Thanks for sharing the pics Teng Last edited by HumboldtEF; 09-27-2019 at 08:08 PM. |

I love Land Rover defender body. Wonder the CC01’s defender will fit into this new chassis?

On the “official” cc02 Facebook page they said all cc01 bodies will fit so all you’ll need to do is adjust the wheelbase

I like it...already have funds set aside. Steering angle looks pretty decent for the stock dogbones.

The instruction manual is up at Tamiyablog. It may be wishful thinking, but it looks like the Chassis was designed so that a IFS/Trans setup isn’t completely ruled out. Typical Tamiya weirdness & over complicated construction.

Looks like a fun little rig...I think i'd still take the MST CFX or CMX. Same size chassis which accepts most of the Tamiya hard bodies and has a nice planetary gear box.
