| Light bars and roll-overs
Planning to add either a light bar or some of those neat Hella round spots to the roof of my TRX Bronco. I'm just concerned that in the event of a roll-over that these might rip out of the lexan body or rip off a light (the round ones especially). Has anyone had such an experience? Apart from not rolling over, any suggestions to limit/prevent any damage?

When I installed the roof light on my Gen7, I used 2 screws per side with large washers under each screw. The result is a large area of lexan that's clamped. I've had no problems with the lexan tearing around the mounts. With individual lights you may have more of an issue, but if you use a washer under the screw, it should help.

You can mount them in a roof rack, or use a light bar mount like the desert trucks use. or mount to a rollbar that allows the lightbar to roll back. |

it's a crawler. if you roll it, you might break some stuff. the damage is scale correct, so no worries. =) my UMG10 has a big old light bar across the top. it takes a hell of a rollover event to cause it damage though. |
