Default Ideal size of shock absorbers for crawlers

Hi guys, I have a mst cfx-w and I want to change the plastic shock absorbers as standard for aluminum ones. My doubt is in the ideal size for these, since very long ones will lift the center of gravity quite a bit, but I want some that have a longer distance than the original 70mm. I have thought about installing about 80 or 90 mm, what do you recommend? If someone already did what is the performance? Thanks in advance and greetings

Default Re: Ideal size of shock absorbers for crawlers

tiffer rear springs would help with torque twist. On scale crawlers I almost always run the same springs weights on both rear springs, but it is common to see 2.2 comp crawlers use a stiffer rear spring only as a replacement for the rear spring opposite the front tire that lifts during torque twist. There is no reason why you couldn’t add one slightly stiffer rear spring.
