Long, long, long overdue. Good to see Horizon is turning Axial around little by little.

| Re: Axial Overdrive Gears AXI332001 Hi Jato, always nice to see your posts here. At you mentioned on another thread about SCX10 III. I look forward to the new rig comeing out from Horizon. So it seems no use for me about these OD |

So it looks like these gears were made for the Capra!

| Re: Axial Overdrive Gears AXI332001 That would be nice, although I've already got the OD portal gears installed. Best thing about the packaging...or, at least the photo of the packaging...is the image of Dave. ~ More peace, love, laughter & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place |

Interesting... You'd think they would have designed them to fit both the Capra and SCX10 II. I already have the TGH OD portal gears for my Capra, but if that proves to be too much OD it's nice to have another option. | |

wow thats pretty funny as I just pulled the trigger on the Hot Racing overdrive gears for my scx10.2 , so far i have not had any issues with them. Now I would like to see some underdrive gears.

It probably is specific to the Capra because it's the only vehicle they offer (Kit or RTR) that comes with a 6-bolt locker. The Capra axles are AR-44 based so as long as you purchase the 6-bolt locker, they will fit any of the AR-44 axles. Underdrive isn't possible because it would require a larger ring gear which won't fit in the housing, or a really low tooth count pinion gear which would be weak. |

Being as the Capra is already geared so tall, I'd have preferred to Underdrive the rear, but I understand the limitations with the housing. I'm gonna run the stock gearing for a while to determine if I really want or need to OD the front.
