Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick What in the hell are they doing? lol. Gahhh. I want them to succeed so damn bad but I can't justify purchasing anything from them at this point. Full blown death spiral is what they're in. |
Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick Yes, and hopefully the new owners will change the reputation. The Venture is a solid platform, with some aftermarket support Hang up and Drive |
Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick That thing looks the same as numerous Chinese no name “crawlers” off of EBay, Amazon, Banggood, Wish, etc...🙄 |
Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick Looks like an Exceed MaxStone 10 |
Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick What in the garbage? Apparently, this crap was released back in 2017, discontinued and now re-released. News on it in 2017: https://www.bigsquidrc.com/2017-mave...t-rtr-crawler/ Discontinued: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/kit/mv12501 New: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/kit/mv12505 Definitely looks like Exceed/Redcat/your favorite, random, Chinese company crap. |
Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick The Venture is so good that it boggles my mind that they waste their time with this crap. |

Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick The Maverick Scout had been around since 2011 so predates scalers, Europe only though. Was really popular back then as it was half the price of an AX10. It's a rebadged HSP Pangolin, so identical to a Redcat Everest 10. |
Re: I didn't know HPI made a crawler? Maverick Predates scalers in Europe? Could have sworn my first SCX10 was around late 2008, early 2009 here in Canada, my memory is ass though. |
