| Expect parts shortges.
Heads up! Due to the world outbreak of the Coronavirus factories worldwide are shutting down producton and sending workers home. The net result is likely to be shortages of parts of all kinds. If you are thinking of buying a new truck or upgrade parts you should probably buy them now before the supply pipeline runs out. Just sayin! |

It's delayed the shipment to an unknown time of my pre-ordered RC4WD Overland 4x4 truck. No big deal though, just a toy truck.

All for an overblown disease. The deadly flu doesn't stop shipments.

Since a large percentage of our RC parts are manufactured in China and China has already effectively shut down entire cities and unknown numbers of factories for who knows how long, it does not take a rocket scientist to understand that the demand for parts will drain the supply pipeline in a relatively short period of time when no new parts are entering the pipeline. Whether you believe the virus outbreak is a real thing or not is totally irrelevant at this point because the China factories are shut down and that is going to have an effect on part supplies.

Oh I agree completely! Get ready for a price spike on pretty much every consumer good as the demand starts to outpace supplies! Should have a negative effect on the entire economy as well. Last edited by JatoTheRipper; 03-02-2020 at 06:32 AM. |

The funny thing is that every American that I know doesn't believe the Coronavirus panic. The media is trying to incite a panic so they can generate views, but most of us aren't buying it. | |

Advice at work about travelling to affected areas also contained the statement that "parcels and goods are still allowed to come From China as the virus cannot exist outside a human body for more that a few days". I bet though that some businesses will bump up prices for health reasons.

But, jokes about Corona beer aside, I would like to say that thanks to the OP and this stupid thread, I'm $130 in the hole because I just bought a couple brushless motors that I wasn't planning on buying yet. You should buy me a beer to make up for it. Just not a Corona. |

It's all ridiculous. Yes there will be a shortage of parts unfortunately for awhile. Even before the whole virus started I've been building up a collection of parts and other stuff for awhile. I won't have everything I want but definitely some stuff to keep me busy. Even my fav lhs is showing signs of lack of inventory. My lhs guy was telling me they are feeling the shortage of stuff already. Hope everything will go back to normal soon.
