Cross HC4 Kit - Help Please with Shocks

I do not care for the stock shocks that came with my kit - wanted to see if there were any recommendations for aftermarket shocks that the community likes - also - what size (having a heck of a time finding the size) are the shocks?

Lots to find ebay plug in the size . like 100mm shocks to search.

HC4, like the leaf sprung suspension, if I do another that's is a target, or the 6by.

Building the SP4C currently, have the PC4A. It has coil over and were plastic, replace them, leaked

I know it's been quite some time since you originally posted this...and, honestly, I'm hoping you're still on RCC...but, curious as to what you ended up going with. I'm starting to build the HC4, along with the T-003 Trailer Kit, and I'm looking to replace al the shocks...or, as an "alternate" idea, to convert all four corners of the HC4 to a dual-shock configuration (I'm still working out how to do this, if it's even possible).


If you're still on RCC...and, if anyone else has built a Cross RC HC4 (or HC6)..what "replacement" shocks did you go with? Also, as I haven't built the kit shocks, what is the eye-to-eye extended & compressed lengths of the kit shocks?

I built a hc6 back in 2017 and am still using the stock shocks. It's leaf sprung so I don't see the shocks doing much at all. The leaf spring packs are really stiff. My stock shocks are really worn and no longer hold oil and I don't notice much difference.
