Default Clods

Are they truly the best crawling trucks? I'm thinking about buying a zilla 2 clod from mad marty. Would that chassis do allright? It seems kinda bulky, but so does grizzly's truck.

There is no 'best crawling truck.' There are so many factors that go in to designing and building a successful machine, and there are many combinations that will work well. A clod benefits from low CG, which makes it a great climbing/crawling rig. Unfortunately you cant go in water/mud unless you dont mind fouling up your motors, and they have that weird motor/stalling effect where one will turn while the other lags..

It really depends on how you like to drive and over what terrain...

have fun,
ryan

You could read the other threads asking the SAME exact question!!

I love my clod, very low COG. Motors will do fine underwater minus the crap that goes in them. they are also BEEFY!! If everything is done right you wont break anything axle related. Well, except me, but I dont count It is possible to break stuff but its not like you'll break shafts left and right.. just things like axle tubes, knuckles, MAYBE some gears if you're being really stupid, I just set my pinion in REALLY deep into the counter gear. If you do break stuff, you can get alum tubes and knuckles, or even gear boxes, and gears, they make wheel wideners, etc.

No doubt clods have the most aftermarket. I think they are the best, but im biased and nobody has paid for me to go out to a comp yet
