Got the Summit almost 10 years ago for both bashing and crawling capabilities (my first rc, wasn't sure what I wanted). Saw crawling wasn't much fun, a monster truck isn't really a crawler, so I got the e-revo kit with a faster/powerful DeWalt motor and got over 50km/h with a faster gear ratio - lots of fun with it, even if it's a heavy machine!! Not long ago, I got the 1/24 Axial SCX24 crawler for on the go fun. And this little SCX got me into crawling way more than I could imagine. I looked back at my Summit and I started the LT project, after a Google "summit crawler conversion" I've got the Slayer Pro arms and links, with 14mm hex shafts, I added the Pro-Line Hyrax U4 Predator 2.2"/3.0" wheels + extra weights, a gear ratio of 11T by 68T which makes it really slow and powerful and, why not some accessories. For full list of upgrades and conversion parts see the description of my YouTube Video: I know, it may not compare with the TRX4, but I would like to hear your opinion as well: You can see more about my rigs on my Instagram and YouTube galleries. I’ve had a few Summits. They’re fun rigs for sure.
