That's odd, I have the exact opposite experience from you.

Harley Designs mentioned it on his Weekly News Update on Monday am. I haven't seen the price lower than the 319 yet myself. But Harley seems to be just ahead of the curve on this stuff. Considering he works at Vanquish, he is privy to a lot of inside info.

Ok, My bad. I see what he did. He was announcing the 319 price (just over 300.) But the grafx under said
WAIT 6 months and it will be 279.
I'll edit my previous comment to reflect my fckup. lol

Doh! No worries. Thanks for the correction.

It's still a bargain at $320 IMO!

I was almost ready to jump on a 3rd at 279. lol

Almost glad it didn't go down again. lol

Still eyeing an SCX10III and a Super Rock Rey before unenjoyment runs out.
and just got a slightly used 4x4 Utimate Slash with a HW Max8/2200kv combo in it.

RC Mart has it on sale for $299.99...https://www.rcmart.com/ssd-1-10-trai...00300-00083571

I never bought anything from them so I don't know if they make up the difference in shipping or some other way.

I don't even want a Trail King but I was going to jump into one at $279. I'm almost glad that wasn't the real price.

TRX-4 TRA82010-4 Traxxas TRX-4 Sport 1/10 Scale Trail Rock Crawler Assembly Kit- This is an actual kit and I really liked building mine.

Traxxas TRX-4 1/10 Scale Trail Rock Crawler Assembly Kit w/TQi 2.4GHz Radio TRA82016-4-R6 - After buying a TRX-6 and using the 2-speed and remote lockers I would probably have gone with this version, add a WP1080 and 9t pinion and you have a great truck.

I'd recommend taking a real good look at the Element Enduro Builders Kit. Team Associated quality, some of the best suspension available, multiple overdrive options included right out of the box, tons of aftermarket support, and an excellent price point.

Element / Associated came out swinging with this release. Amazing rig

I took a stock TRX4 Chevy Blazer and a stock Enduro Sendero to the West Coast RC4WD event last fall, and while both were great rigs, I couldn't get enough of the Enduro. Lightweight, agile, super fun to drive. Ditch the stock bumpers for a better approach and departure angle, and you've got a well designed, well supported, quality rig, that's highly capable on the rocks and trails.

I’ll second the element builders kit. I was debating between it and the trx4 kit. I got the trx kit because of the durability and parts availability. My lhs guys both tried to get me into the element kit. Well I ended up building the element kit this last week. The element is a lightweight agile crawler, where as the trx is a heavy tank. Both are a lot of fun just different animals.

Funny nobody mentioned the HPI SBK venture kit. I’m just finishing mine up and thoroughly impressed. Good manual, no parts tree (what a relief) and extremely smooth shocks and drivetrain. And at a flat 200 bucks can’t beat the price.

I've got most of the 1.9 scale trucks in my fleet. The Venture SBK is a solid performer and a great value. The Trail king performs the best as a hardcore rock crawler, and easily justifies its cost with its precise fitment and all the Ti and Al goodies. The trx4 is a tank, is almost unbreakable, and the portals allow you to be lazy choosing your line. I really enjoy all three of these trucks and feel like you can't go wrong with any of them. Pick whatever fits your budget and desires.

It's a great kit and I love mine, but there is no aftermarket support for those and I don't even know where to buy one.

It’s true nota lot of aftermarket support, but the kit version already comes with a ton of upgrades compared to the RTR version.

Find it here https://www.kingcobraofflorida.com/p...gle%20Shopping

Wait, 50 posts, finally not a Newbie anymore!!!

Just an update. I ended deciding on the Capra (kit) after all. My decision was the popularity of the Axial brand and the availability of options by non-Axial manufacturers though no where near the Traxxas camp. Although it seems like the TRX-4 is a great rig (one of my friends have one), I don't want another scale rig since I already have a Jeep Rubicon SCX10 0g.

And lastly my LHS gave me a FANTASTIC deal. It's on order and I'll pick it up on Monday. It's going to be a slow build as it's not like I don't have another crawler to run and I'm still mired in all the school graduation stuff and what happens in the fall, etc. If you have kids, you know what I'm talking about.

The Capra is a good time, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Congrats on the new rig!
