The PowerHobby Lipos seem to be well priced.

But the Gens Ace Lipos are pretty good for the cost, adn they do have great Customer Service.

Been buying Gens Ace packs recently more often than not.

Not many rocks around here but the few I did go over it flexed pretty well. If you are going to be on rocks a lot I feel like the center diff needs to be locked or something because if you don't carry some momentum in the rocks it gets stuck on the large belly plate and will only spin 1 tire.

How did you tighten it?

Just took mine out tonight for a quick run and was wondering about the following:

1. Is the turning radius not very tight? Or am I just used to my UDR and Slash? I feel like the turns take up too much space.

2. I turned the AVC completely off and the wheels would only turn a hair either way. Is that normal?

3. Turning and driving, the wheels don’t stay locked. Seems to drift back to center.

Apparently, everything is steering related.

Tighten up the servo saver. It made a world of difference on mine as far as turn radius goes.

What battery are you all using?
I have a bunch of adapters but an IC5 one for the ESC sure is missing in my collection

Should I cut it off and replace with a Deans? Or get a Spektrum battery? Then, how do I charge it? Again, I guess I would need an adapter either way.
Hope, the hobby store has them come in tomorrow....

By the way: Once put next to other RCs the vehicle itself doesn't even look that big anymore (especially compared to a GOM). But those tires??? The yellow one is an Axial Yeti with a 1:8 body on it and 2.2 tires (okay, they are not the biggest, but still).

I think Gens Ace is the one battery manufacture I've never had issues with.

Has anyone checked the motor temp after 5-7 min bashing on 4s? After that amount of time mine is breaching 170 deg f., that’s with the 12t pinion. I’ve got a 11t pinion otw, does anyone know if there is room for a larger spur, even just a couple of teeth?

What type of surface are you running on? All of my go fast stuff gets significantly hotter running in grass even if it is pretty short.

About 50/50 dirt and gravel/very short grass, and admittedly I have little off road go fast truck experience since the days of nicads and rc10t3’s, but at the same time I figure that’s prob about the same mix most bashers will be running on?

That's about the same for me. I know my Baja Rey gets pretty warm motor wise when I run it but have never put a temp gun on it. I usually just let it sit and cool after I put a pack through it.

I have joined a Facebook group for the Lasernut and those guys make my brain hurt with the complaining. I hate reading through it but it is really the best place to find out about new stuff that comes out for a new model of RC.

I also added this to mine the other day:

Nice! Who makes that bar? Does it run on same voltage as the factory lighting?

Yes, it runs on 6.0V right off the receiver. I got it from RPP

Thanks! Now I’ve got a question, I’m no newbie but even blue loctite paste, cured for 2 days, I can’t keep the right rear wheel on. I know others have had the problem, is there a fix? Red loctite? I can’t keep poly nuts on it and the serrated do a little better but have yet to finish a 5000 pack , even with the loctite it didn’t stay tight for 5 min. It seems the right side should have been left hand threads.

No one has had the wheel coming loose problem? Or has no one found the solution?

Maybe try these?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've got some - unfortunately haven't tried them yet.

Bought them because I have so many wheel/tire combos vs vehicles, that I figure i will be wearing out the plastic part of standard wheel locknuts by swapping them out so often.

They are supposed to be the bee's knees as far as locking washers go, available in many sizes and used industrially.

About 10 minutes into my third run I snapped a front axle shaft. Just by looking at the Lasernut FB group, this is a pretty common problem.
