Looking for some Info on a crawler I reached out to the guys that’s posted the video with no luck so far. Just thought I’d ask here, does anyone know anything about the truck in this video? It’s pretty impressive about the 4 min mark https://youtu.be/_YMgGvrFisE https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6e355d8307.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler It's prob a custom built truck using a G Speed lcg chassis, mine is built using Enduro axles and trans, but you can also do a Axial trans and axles |

For sure thanks man, I’m trying to find a new chassis for my vs4/Capra. Was looking at Brazin and then I seen that video and was thought about building my 10.2 on whatever chassis that was. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler Hillkiller v2 is indicated in the title of the video... I also have this chassis on a performance scale, it's terribly efficient 8) |

D’oh... I guess it didn’t even dawn on me that could be the chassis name because I had no idea what I was looking for. Looks like they’re on V4 now. Thanks man I appreciate that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler That climb about 4:15 is pretty intense. |

That’s about the time my wallet flew open and said “get that chassis” lmao Think my Capra axles and setup might be a little too much for that chassis though so I’ll see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Looking for some Info on a crawler I stumbled across this chassis locally here in the PNW, looking for another project I went ahead and picked it up. The guy couldn’t remember too much about it other than it’s cnc laser cut and the guys name was Monkey something or something Monkey. The guy I got it from was just across the river in Washington. Curious if anyone has seen anything like it? Or have any clue who the designer might be? Came with what looks like a wraith trans and links custom skid, the matching servo tray(s) and battery tray. He threw the shocks and the 35t motor in on the deal too. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dc5349eacd.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dc7a9403c1.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ab9de55f61.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ee4a5fcdea.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a1765a2752.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler Noice!...is it steel or alu? |

It’s steel of some sort, it’s got some weight to it for sure. I’ll get some back pics when I disassemble it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler ^Bingo "thumbsup", it's a Green Mountain RC |
Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler I have a few trucks built off the original Green Mountain RC drag queen chassis. I always liked the extra rise in the arches and all the additional upper link mounts for tuning purposes. I can highly recommend them. GMRC has developed a lot more chassis types since I've built mine. Ben, the owner of GMRC, is as big of an RC addict as you'll ever meet. He's very personable and always willing to help people with setups or option choices. Looks like they're newer stuff is more elegant without all the extra beef of the originals. |
Re: Looking for some Info on a crawler That’s awesome, thanks guys! I appreciate all the help. Not sure what I have in store for this thing but I couldn’t pass it up.. especially for the price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
