Default CC02 or CFX

Was looking for a short wheelbase truck and it seems the TF2 SWB is just too high a price right now. I started looking at the Tamiya CC02 and the MST CFX which are of a similar pricing and dimensions.

Anyone have experience with these, as to which might be a more versatile crawler?

Look at this ---> OS builds a CC02 and then ask yourself if the CFX is maybe the better option

CFX (or CMX) for sure. It's a great performer.

I did check that out....thanks. I've been a fan of Tamiya since I was a kid building their models, and later, their Touring cars.

Thanks. I like the idea of the forward motor in the CFX. Is there any other advantage over the CMX?

The CMX has a lower center of gravity and better balance IMHO. The CFX has a better front weight bias, but that motor is really high up there. Not sure if you'd really notice though unless you drive them back to back.

Hmmm...I do like the open area in the center on the CFX. Seems like an interior would fit better. So other than the motor position, mechanically they're the same. Now I just need to find one...

Thanks for the info.

AsiaTees and RCMart have them new for pretty low prices, in various configurations - sometimes with free shipping and/or on sale.

I picked up a J45C-bodied CFX-W recently from RCMart and it shipped LIGHTNING fast, during a free shipping special.

Thanks for the heads up on AsiaTees...just pulled the trigger on the CFX kit only, no body, ESC or motor.
