i figured im gona have to take every part apart and rebuild it every part has been painted even the bearings lol a the screws are striped and alkt of the screw holes are striped out so im gona have to work some magic to fix them
any way progress so far
i tested the slash and it has a bad servo not suprized cause its a traxxass branded servo and some how i dident let the smoke out of the traxass esc during testing theres a first for everything it actualy worked but the spur gear is toast the metal cage is kinda cool but theres no way to vet to the screw holes on the front i cross that road later

i also made some progress on the r1 its looking like a ar60 up front and a redcat 247 rear im thinking to use the redcat shocks but there missing parts so i dont know if thats gona work

the wendigo cage is built but im missing most of the wendigo parts so im wajting for those to show up

the progress is slow my freind im building for isent getting the parts in a timly manor so its slow going but i do have zome updatez
the slash is running it doze still need a bec but its running with a extra battery pluged in to the reciver

i was able.to straighten out most of the r1 buggy still needs a esc and one shock is missing its guts

i got a good portion of the windigo together im missing alot of bearings though the windigo body is pretty much a tottal loss in my book he cut it up all funky but making it look good isent my job im just making it go with the parts he gives me but its making progress too

Basket case builds are fun, I am doing one right now building a wraith out of the left over stock parts someone took off their wraith as they morphed it into a metal monstrosity lol. Between the 3d printer and the various places to post looking for posts it is coming along ok.

That slash looks interesting with that cage on it! And looking forward to how that wendigo turns out.

i made some progress on the windigo it is now rockin the axial yeti cage and body it fits the chassie perfictly the running boards even line up just right
the rear axle is the original front windigo axle and a ar60 front axle i made a new truss with a on axle servo mount
my freind brought a redcat 3300kv motor and i had a used esc i donated to the project
because of every ones feedback on the gearing being really bad i came up with a mod to use a axial 3 gear for more gear reduction
i fiund a set of almost brand new spawn take off tires and wheels with practicly new ripsaws for almost nothing so i threw those on it

The build with the Yeti cage is looking rad. The Yeti itself wasn't such a hot vehicle, but the cage is sweet.

The cage is so easy to mount on other cars, and it looks super legit.

Reminds me of building LEGO as a kid. We just had a massive bin of pieces and built what we could out of it.

It’s an interesting thread. Just wish everything wasn’t so f’n red....

what is up with all the red its one of my least favorite colors right up there with orange but my last few builds have been red the raptors and orange the nylint jeep and i dont like jeeps ether but i built a orange one anyway lol

the yeti being red is why i dident use it for any of my rigs but the guy im building it for likes red so it worked out

thanks yo im almost jelouse i kinda want it for my own its coming out so nice

and ya the cage was vary easy to mount i took 2 aluminum spacers and screwd them on to the rear shock towers and the original yeti cage mounting points fit perfict so it even still hinges up and is extremely easy to take on and off
