Gatekeeper bigger battery mounting. So, being in the UK I don't have access to high capacity small batteries, I need to figure out a different mounting solution, without just putting it on the rear of the chassis. I hoped to find a servo mount right at the front of the chassis and spin it 90 degrees then maybe put the battery on the servo tray, although it would be a bit high. What's other peoples solutions, is there a 3d printable part or something to get this done? The biggest pack I've found I can fit is a Gens Ace 2700 3s, I'd really like 4000+ for trailing as well as crawling. Anyone help me out with a solution I've not yet thought of? |
Re: Gatekeeper bigger battery mounting. I remembered seeing this and maybe it’ll help you out. Appears that you need a different mount to put the servo up front but it gives you an option. If you don’t want to mess with that I’d see if there’s a way to mount the longer stock battery tray inline with the chassis somehow. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13327875536...sAAOSw2txfkRMW |
Re: Gatekeeper bigger battery mounting. Not sure how this would or wouldn’t work with the hinged body, but nonetheless: https://www.ebay.com/itm/13327875556....c100930.m5375 |

Re: Gatekeeper bigger battery mounting. I chopped up the long battery box and mounted to the back like in the video. It will add weight to the back. Most of the full size battery would fit. I can post pics later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecgQWgXlJbs&t=23s https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a865e6e3_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...76629a68_b.jpg |
