I would love to see a builder's kit for this. The building for a 1/6 scale would be crazy IMO.

The specs on the motor page lists 4S multiple times.

https://www.horizonhobby.com/product...PMXSM3100.html

It wouldn’t surprise me if the motor is actually capable of more voltage since these large can, low KV motors usually run much higher cell counts but it is limited by only being compatible with a single 4S max Spektrum ESC.

"Interesting". Not saying the website isn't accurate (although, if it's not accurate, it wouldn't be the first time for a Horizon Hobby page), but it is a possibility. In a few of the SCX6 videos I've seen, it's been started that, while the ESC is up to 4S, the motor is only 3S. That's where I got that info. As the same time, for the motor, while or states 1200kv, in the motor specs, it states to 1160kv, thus proving "contradicting"in info on their own web pages.

I've got a set of 17mm aluminum beadlock wheels that would look pretty sick on this new Axial.....

Have to admit, I’m a little disappointed it’s another Jeep. Don’t get me wrong I love my Rubicon body on my SCX10iii but I’m ready for something different. Axial does make the best quality, best detailed Lexan bodies though

Matt from SBG was guessing that the 3S limit was possibly due to the legal department saying "you cant recommend that"! Being such a heavy rig you'd need to be a bit crazy to run 4S in 2nd gear... somebody's gonna put an eye out.

I would guess the tranny will be tough to fit since its super long but maybe. Matt pulled the tranny out if you haven't seen it yet: https://youtu.be/RLejDBFuM08?t=268

Looking through the specs and parts listings it would appear this 25lb behemoth uses a single shear plastic panhard mount, kinda similar to the 10.3. Boo.

Anyone find a gearing chart yet?

True I noticed that as well but it looks to be redesigned a bit and it definitely beefier than it's smaller counterpart. Bottom line if you drop this off a decent drop something is gonna break.

One of the early-receipt YouTubers pulled one of the links out of a rod end when the vehicle took a long tumble down a slope.

With that much weight, yes, if the vehicle falls and tumbles, breakages will be likely to occur.

Pick your battle, be scale looking and parts break or lose scale and build it invincible. Price point turns me off, there won't be one at my house. I think the size is awesome, other than having to carry a 25 lb. rig to your favorite crawler location. My Bomber weighs like 12 or 13 lbs, sucks to schlep it around. Watching Josh's video with it bashing, uh, no.... its not a basher. Then I get to thinking, aluminum axles, wheels..... $4k toy build.

To me with this being so scale, I think it will go down a track of a two track jeep trail, just like 1:1. Do a few side rocks and gullies, just like 1:1.
I would hate to waste out the body of my $1100 investment doing comp style running. Not how I would run it (sure lol).

Being so fully invested in 1/10 scale (time, space & money), it will be a tough choice jumping in on this beautiful 1/6 Axial. Sure would be fun though.

I think it's awesome, and with that 1200kv sensored motor and ample gear reduction it should be an absolute torque monster. I just wished we got something else besides a Jeep. I'm getting pretty tired of seeing a JLU Wrangler on all Axials. I get they probably wanted to make it look like the 10 and 24, but come on give us some variety. Would have been a fantastic opportunity to get a license from Toyota to use the current get 4Runner

I feel it is a step in a good direction. With all of my current crawlers tuned to crawl, I have wanted a trail rig just to drive around when I'm out in the weeds hiking around. The TRX 4 Bronco really had my eye, but I feel I would just want to tweak it to crawl better, and end up with another crawler.

This larger size seems to give a much different driving experience, and maybe that would make it more reasonable to do a little tuning but not go crazy. Somewhat like lowering expectations in terms of crawling performance, but not in a negative light. Maybe more so of just changing expectations.

While the base price is no big deal, in that all of my kit buggies and vanquish are well past that number, I do hope that the quality is a little better than what I've been experiencing from Axial, and that upgrades are not crazy expensive. One of the things keeping me away from the Losi Super Baja Rey is the price of upgrades.

The chassis will accept 1/5 scale servos (good) but the esc BEC is only 3A (bad). For perspective, the mamba XLX has a 20A BEC.
